A Good Bye

Dear Home,

Its what, just a year? And i am already leaving you. But you must understand that I didn’t have a choice. You must know that I loved you. The minute from when I saw your bare walls, your huge French windows and the best of all-  bay view. But all good things come to an end, and so should my stay with you. As I strip you off furniture and leave you bare I realize how little I appreciated being with you. How often I took for granted that setting sun that literally was a private show you arranged for every single day, just for me. I wonder if my morning cup of cha will feel the same, without you. And I must tell you that you inspired me to pen ‘By the Bay’, which has now come to a complete stand still. I don’t know if I’ll ever write with the same sensitivity and sentiment. You inspired me intensely, and just staring out into the blue expanse gave me such a sense of calm, being away from home. You were my first home, away from home. Thank you, for settling all those unsettling feelings about a new place and country.

I’ll come see you, and wave at you sometime, ok?

With love

Me

You know its weird I must have stayed in tons of houses but each move makes me sad. Even though each one of the house has been rented the effort that goes into setting it up, maintaining it, the happy moments, the sad moments, the laughter, friends, events make it all so special :)
Are you settled at the new place? The settling in phase is very unsettling :(

AWwwww...... I hear ya! Its a beautiful home...but then I'm sure you and your family will make any place beautiful with memories and happy moments! Happy home-moving :-)
Settling into a new home and moving to an old one is so nettling! I always feel negative at that point of time because so much of love has gone into creating the home nest.

However, life moves on to take you forward and maybe this is the best way to learn to let go of boundaries and go with the flow, though it seems difficult.

All the best.
@starryeyednut: thanks sweety. haven;t moved in yet, tomorrow is the big day. *shudders in fear* :D

@PB: we are moving to cherry brooke. Oh so u are in the most beautiful part of sydney- gong side!! lovely. Mornigns must be beautiful!

@Primitive Lyric: ohhh don;t even mention the view, i'll start crying :D.

Writerzblock: u are so right! I hope we make a happierhome there!

@swapna: ooh yes unsettling and unnerving! But true- I am yet to learn the art of letting go. The root cause of all miseries!

thank you for your wishes!

Sorry about the emotional down you're going through ; but I have to say, I do embrace the move if it happens to inspire such a lyrical post !

So cheer up and enjoy the fun of moving into a new place that you can fashion into a new home !

awww! now I know what you meant when you said you were quite low. Am sure you will get over the heartbreak and fall in love again...with the new place :)
What a touching goodbye! Keep the good memories nestled inside and draw from their warmth when you need that inspiration and that intensity to write.

Good luck for the next innings! May it be as beautiful as this one was :)
