The re-union

At 4 am last morning, i saw a face, suddenly, in the dark, two inches away from mine. I didn't jump out of my skin in fear. I jumped out of my bed with joy! 

He  is back. The man is back in the house, and we are a family again - in flesh! Am done with adjusting to US timings and those terrible ISD calls. I can now bug him a million times a day without worrying about the time or the money. In fact it is absolutely ok even if he hangs up on me and gves his famous smart ass line- hey i am in a meeting, can i call you back?         

And what about the tiny rascal....how did she take it? What were her reactions like? After all it took dad 35 days to get her, her Mickey! (That's what was told  that daddy Mickey aante geche - Daddy's gone to get you  Mickey)

All ready at 4.30 pm in the hot sunny afternoon, wearing her new PINK dress, with her PINK shoes and PINK bag, to go down and play (and show off?)

 

BUT BUT BUT. NOTHING has changed.

 

- Despite being severely jet lagged, someone went to work, sharp at 10 AM

- Someone still fills the room with familiar sounds at night --   snore snore.

- the house is back to looking like it did a month back - MESSY

- And someone still hugs me as suffocating tight!

What has changed

- Monsieur Sadhukhan wants to have breakfast these days- what a miracle! And no, Upma, idlis ,won't do. His highness wants 2 slices of bread, 2 egss- scrambled, fried sausages, orange juice, Strawberry Yogurt.....

May i ask you, sir, to please leave your videshi attitude behind and please adjust to Alu Paranthas and Dosas?

 

But, you know what, I am glad, you back.
